家具・木工職人

1990年頃、カリフォルニアで家具づくりに携わり、

ものづくりが人の心を動かす瞬間に立ち会ったことが、

この仕事を志すきっかけとなりました。

株式会社イデーにて家具製作に携わった後、独立。

特注家具の設計・製作から空間づくりまでを手がけ、

こだわりを丁寧にかたちにするものづくりを大切にしています。

今回の展示では、江戸時代に庶民に広まった、”文机” を

いまの暮らしの中であらためて使ってみたいと思い、制作しました。

Furniture Fabricator / Bespoke Furniture

Around 1990, while working with furniture makers in California,

I witnessed how making things can truly move people.

That experience became the starting point of my path as a maker.

After working in furniture production at IDÉE.,

I became independent.

From bespoke furniture to spatial work,

I value carefully shaping ideas into form through craftsmanship.

For this exhibition,

I created a writing desk inspired by the “FUZUKUE,”

a desk that became widely used among ordinary people in the Edo period,

wanting to explore how it might be used again in everyday life today.
